About the role: In this role you will be responsible for operating either packaging or production machines. You will maintain our high-quality standards by following set procedures and completing hourly checks. This role will also be responsible for troubleshooting and fault identification. Your responsibilities will include: - Independently operating food processing machinery whilst still acting as part of a team;
- Ensuring product quality through attention to detail and quality testing;
- Completing paperwork accurately, neatly and consistently throughout every shift;
- Troubleshooting and problem solving;
- Assisting other operators to ensure the team completes all production and packaging schedules on time;
- General and periodical plant and equipment cleaning;
- General food processing and packaging.
San Remo conducts 24-hour operations, so you must be willing to perform shift work on a weekly rotation of day, afternoon and night shifts, with overtime required when production is busy. A successful candidate will ideally possess the following: - A great attitude and genuine desire to produce high quality results;
- Excellent mechanical reasoning skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Experience in a factory environment;
- A willingness to undertake shift work
What a typical day looks like in the role Setting up the machinery. Identifying quality and performance issues and solving the problem efficiently and effectively. Ensuring the machine is running correctly whilst also replacing film and packaging materials. Completing quality checks which includes completing documents accurately. Changing over the machine specifications and materials when the product changes. Cleaning the work station area for shift change over including sweeping mopping and cleaning of the machine.
