Description

A wholly Australian owned company, San Remo is a market leader in pasta and food manufacturing providing high quality food products to domestic and overseas customers. Based in our Windsor Gardens Head Office, the payroll team is responsible for the processing of the payroll for various group entities.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for providing:

  • End to end processing of payroll (Preceda)
  • Daily interrogation of the time recording systems (TMS)
  • Maintaining personnel files to ensure compliance
  • Assist in administration of WorkCover related files.
  • General Payroll related reporting to Finance and Human Resources
  • Assistance within the payroll department

 
Qualifications
/ Criteria

To succeed in this role you will have either a part or completed tertiary qualification related to business or administration; or 1 – 2 years direct payroll experience.  You have excellent communication, analytical & problem solving skills complemented by a ‘can do’ attitude and drive to continuously improve.  This position represents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our payroll team and broaden their experience to enhance their career.

Ideally to be highly successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or similar with a genuine interest in payroll
  • Or demonstrated payroll experience (salaried and non-salaried) preferably including superannuation, WorkCover, taxation and award interpretation;
  • Experience processing high volume payroll using payroll and timekeeping systems (eg Preceda  and TMS);
  • Excellent processing skills with a high degree of accuracy ;
  • The ability to identify opportunities for improvements and adapt to change;
  • Fantastic communication, organisation and interpersonal skills;
  • Great time management with a real sense of priorities;
  • Sound understanding of legislative requirements.

Essential Questions - required

Have you used payroll systems (eg: Preceda, Micropay, Chris)?
Do you have experience using timekeeping software (eg Kronos) for the recording of workhours?
Are you experienced in administering Workers’ Compensation, Payroll Tax, Superannuation?
Are you able to work full time hours Monday to Friday?
Are you eligible to work in Australia?
