Due to a recent retirement, our Production Planning Team is seeking a suitably experienced person or graduate with relevant qualifications to join them.We are looking for someone who is self-driven & preferably with prior experience in an FMCG environment or similar.

Reporting to the ERP Coordinator, this exciting role is being offered to ensure the future demands of the business can be achieved.

We are currently seeking either an experienced Packaging Expert, Administrator, Logistics Graduate, with a strong understanding of Packaging : Materials, Machines, Processes or a graduate who is motivated to learn

Mentored by a close knit team of experienced Planners , you will be responsible for establishing the Packaging Material Supply Chains that support our various Delivery Schedules and New Product Developments, across our numerous sites.

Description

Key responsibilities :

This unique position is responsible for ensuring that all packaging materials for our extensive range of products, meet all required specifications within : Manufacturing, Logistics, Costs, etc.

Along with maintaining all relevant details within their appropriate Data Bases.

Liaising with Operations &/or Marketing/Sales on New Product Development Projects, there is a strong Project Management focus to ensure that Finished Goods get to Market on time.

Qualifications
/ Criteria

To succeed in this role you will require at least some of the following :

High level analytical skills ; problem solving skills ; decision making skills, with a focus towards practical solutions

Strong time Management skills & the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • A keen eye for detail
  • A strong understanding of packaging materials & processes
  • Computer literacy in JD Edwards or similar ERP, Excel, Access and SQL
  • The ability to provide technical knowledge to the leadership team &/or production floor
  • APICS Certification

Ideally you will have practical experience or exposure to at least some of the following :

  • Production Planning, Material Planning, Inventory Control, Logistics or Food
  • Manufacturing Processes for high volume FMCG
  • Raw Material Specifications & Procurement Practices
  • Project Management
  • Excellent verbal & written communication along with appropriate interpersonal skills
